Effective 26 September 2026
HiMama is a pregnancy timeline and memory book for iPhone and iPad. This policy describes the current app's handling of information you enter or choose to add.
You may enter pregnancy dating information, a chosen way to be addressed, a baby nickname, journey status, notes, milestones, photos, and reminder preferences. HiMama uses this information on your device to show your timeline, organize memories, prepare sharing cards and a memory book, and schedule reminders you turn on.
Your journey and diary are stored on your device. HiMama does not require an account or send this information to a HiMama server. The app has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
When you choose a photo from your library, the system photo picker gives HiMama access only to the image you select. If you choose to take a photo, the app asks for camera access. Imported photos are resized and re-encoded before local storage, which removes the original photo's attached location and camera metadata. You can change camera permission in iOS Settings.
If you enable reminders and grant notification permission, HiMama schedules them on your device. You can turn reminders off in the app or manage permission in iOS Settings.
HiMama does not share your journey automatically. If you choose to save or share a card or memory book, iOS shows you the available destinations. The content you choose to send is then handled by the destination you select and its privacy practices. Shared cards let you decide whether to include details such as a due date or nickname.
The app includes optional links to external educational resources. Opening one takes you to that website, which may process information under its own privacy policy. HiMama does not open those sites in the background.
Apple may include locally stored app data in a device or iCloud backup, depending on your iOS settings. Apple controls its own platform services, diagnostics, and backups under Apple's privacy terms. Files you export to another app or service are managed there.
Information stays on your device until you edit or delete it, delete the journey, or uninstall HiMama. To remove the journey and its notes and photos from this device, open You → More → Journey → Delete this journey. You can also delete individual notes. Once you delete the journey, the app cannot restore it. Copies in device backups or exported files may remain until you remove them through the relevant Apple or destination service.
Because HiMama has no account or server copy of your journey, there is no remote journey data to request from us or have us delete.
HiMama is intended for adults recording their own pregnancy journey. It is not designed for children to use.
We may update this policy if the app's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when that happens. For privacy questions, use the developer support contact shown on HiMama's App Store listing.
